Wild Horse Trail Chapter welcomes you!

History
The Wild Horse Trail Chapter was organized on October 4, 2003, the youngest of the nine NSDAR chapters in Idaho. Its name comes from a pack route in rural northern Idaho known to miners during the Kootenai Gold Rush. The rush began in 1864 with the discovery of gold on Wild Horse Creek in British Columbia. The trail, narrow and treacherous in many places, combined ancient Native American paths with those used by later fur traders and the U.S. Commission that established the northern border of the United States. After the gold boom fizzled in about 1880, the trail fell into disuse with its exact location debatable.

Mission
To promote patriotism, education, and historic preservation. To serve the country by preserving the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence by fostering patriotic citizenship and love of country, and by respecting our flag and Constitution.

Meetings
We meet on the second Saturday of each month, September through June, unless otherwise determined by the chapter, at various locations in the area. For more information, please contact us.
